People say that somewhere in the world is a river called Colorado, and we believe them... and they say that Colorado Riveris the deepest canyon in the world, and we believethat too... but they said that she is yellow, fuzzy and muddy and we believe that as well... but would youbelievethat we have deepest canyon in Europe and thesecond deepest in the world? And would you believethat that canyon ishome to an emerald green river that is drinkable throughout the whole river flow... and would youbelieve that we have our piece in all of that?!

The canyon is 149 km long with depths reaching 1300m, and it is the deepest and sharpest canyon in Europe. Don`t tell us that you are not touched by the image of a bright green color of hardwood vegetation with dark green conifers and through all of that flows an emerald green river...? And they whoexperience this, what can you say butthat they’ll go green!!! And if we add that the canyon is still a big mystery with over 80 registered caves, still not investigated enough, and also indigenous plant and animal species.Doesn’t this information wake a researcher in your soul?!

And we are ready to share this adventure, and together with you give ourselves to our local beauty, the Tara River, and enjoy in her charming and unique beauty. The adventure starts in Zabljak, under the famous bridge Djurdjevica Tara-its height we do not need to mention, just to say that if you look down from the bridge into the abyss, our boat looks like nut shell with a few ants in it.

You can go on raft or boats through 90% of the canyon. It is a three day adventure for everyone who wants to experience something new and unusual in your life by visiting this wonder of nature. And with the first stroke of your oar on the boat, and with the first kilometer,you will have the opportunity to feel what we are talking about.

And in next three days, the amount of time needed for a relaxed journey through the canyon, you will experience many things, and in the three days we can promise you unreal scenes of beauty. This can only be changed to the adrenalin shocks when passing through the “foamy and boiling rapids”. We will pass Lazo`s rock, the narrowest pass in the canyon. Legend says that a long time ago, a young man named Lazo from Durmitor mountain, jumped from the rock on the other side of the river on a bet, over the river (and the bet would not be so interesting if someone didn`t whisper to us that Lazo could not swim).

But when you visit SigeBajlovica, you will be speechless and blinded by the beauty of thousands of caves that, in their century long symbiosis, have become covered with ancient moss, making a scene of unreal and unique beauty, leaving you with a lifetime impression that in one moment you have moved to some other time, to some other planet. All together, all the scenes and moments to enjoy, and maybe we are little boring with this „enjoy“, but that is how things are.

There are a few camps along Tara canyon, and they have been furnished and adjusted for accommodating all of us adventurers who cruise through the canyon.

Therefore, a part of our adventure passing through the canyon is sleeping in it, usually by the fire and to the sounds of guitar; we wait for the dawn, surrounded by positive emotions, gathering impressions from the daybehind us. Within a number of camps, one of them is camp „Encijan“, the one and only on the Bosnian side of river.

And they said that there is no better camp in whole canyon, and we believe them...

But it is up to you to convince yourself when you make that first step from the boat, after a few hours of stroking, arrive and realized that we didn`t lie to you and that it is more beautiful than you imagined.

It is a God given place, a miniature paradise on earth, like it was made for rest and enjoyment.

In that paradise we are the hosts, and we will host you like no one before, but the same as anybody else who visits.

The next day we startrafting on the most attractive part of river. You will be on a real adrenalin rollercoaster through twenty “foamy and boiling rapids”, where after a few breaks and visit to the coldest Tara spring, showering under its cold waterfalls, we end the tour.
