Rafting is not “naive” adventure, especially not on the Tara River, which has been, along with the Colorado River, Zambezi and similar, identified as one of the leading white water rafting rivers in the world.
Tara River hosted World Rafting Championship in May 2009, and it is the fact that speaks about credibility of our local beauty.

The degree of difficulty and attractiveness on the river Tara is from three to five, which puts the River right next to world’s major rivers such as the above-mentioned ones, when it comes to white water rafting.

Degree of water difficulty, varies depending on the season and the water level of the river , and reaches its peak in the early spring months of March, April and May , when the river overflows and goes wild when snow starts to melt in mountains Durmitor and Komovi , and when the rafting is the best and the most extreme.

Rafting is challenging recreational activity of using inflatable boats which are specially made for the purpose, and white water. These are high - quality boats made of multi-layer rubber-like “Hypalon” material, capacity 8-10 persons, managed by our experienced and licensed skippers.

All skippers hired by agency Encijan have passed various international trainings and licensed and certified by the IRF (International Rafting Federation), and each of them has multiyear experience in their work and has encountered many trips down the Tara River and most of them consider rafting and adventure as satisfaction and their lifestyle, and then the job.

Prior each rafting trip, during some half-hour safety briefing, we will introduce you with the trip programme, about what you can expect during the trip, how to behave in certain circumstances and we will depart with you into the real adventure.
